RiverPark Metropolitan District

The RiverPark Metropolitan District is a Title 32 Special District that has been established for the purpose of financing and installing street, park and recreation, water, sanitation, transportation, mosquito control, safety protection, limited fire protection, and limited television relay and translation improvements of the District; and all other improvements or services permitted by Article 1, Title 32, C.R.S. (collectively, the “Public Improvements and Services”), except as specifically limited by the Service Plan for the District approved by the City of Littleton, Colorado on August 20, 2019, as it may be amended from time to time (the “Service Plan”).

The Public Improvements and Services are for the use and benefit of the residents and taxpayers of the District. The District is located in the City of Littleton, Arapahoe County, Colorado. The District is a quasi-municipal political subdivision of the State of Colorado authorized to provide specialized services that the City and County do not provide.

The District may incur a maximum debt of $20,000,000. Ad valorem property taxes and other legally available revenues may be used to repay such debt.

The District may assess a maximum mill levy of fifty-five (55) mills to repay such debt. Such mill levy may be adjusted subject to changes in the method of calculating assessed valuation or any constitutionally mandated tax credit, cut or abatement on or after January 1, 2007.  

The District must file an Annual Report with the City of Littleton, Division of Local Government, the State Auditor, and the Arapahoe County Clerk and Recorder.

The District boundaries overlap with the boundaries of Littleton School District #6, Arapahoe County, Developmental Disability, City of Littleton, SMFR Fire Protection District, Regional Transportation, S Suburban Park & Rec, Southwest Metro Water & Sanitation, Urban Drainage & Floor, and Urban Drainage & Flood (S Platte).
